Getting Started
Before getting started, make sure to:
✅ Registered an account on rsrvs. Creating an account is easy and free – simply click here
✅ Identify the items that you would like to list for rent – they should be items that you own
✅ Understand how our rental process works
How it works
Simply create an account > Create your listing > Get matched with a suitable renter > See your bank account grow
Creating your listing
- Indicate the quantity of this item
- Select the category that this item belongs to. If you are unsure, select “Other/ Not Sure?”
- Provide an accurate description of your item.
- Indicate if delivery will be provided/ included by you
- Provide a Fair Market Value of your item – based on the condition of your item, it should not be more than the cost of a brand new version of your item.
- Provide your location. We strongly recommend that you use landmarks such as train stations, bus-stops, or malls near your location to protect your privacy.
- Set your pricing. The price provided should reflect your rate per 24hours. For the exact pick up and return timings, please communicate with the rentee directly.

- Upload photographs of your item. We recommend at least 2-3 photographs that are taken in a well-lit setting, against a clear and clean backdrop. Avoid stock images – renters prefer real photos!

Once you have completed 1-7, you will be directed to Stripe to set up how you will be receiving payments. Your listing will be published once it has been reviewed and approved by rsrvs (usually within 24 hours).
Fees & Charges
Here at rsrvs, we believe in winning together. So the only time we earn is when you do!
- Transaction
We take a 20% cut of every transaction that you make.
- Platform Fee
To express our gratitude towards our initial supporters and believers, we will waive Platform Fee for as long as they are on rsrvs. We reserve our right to charge Platform Fee on future sign ups.
Security
We take the trust and safety of our users very seriously. In order to transact on our platform, both renters and rentees are required to complete an identity verification. This helps us ensure that the users are who they claim to be.
We also seek your help to alert us immediately if you suspect any suspicious or criminal activities. Reach out to us via [email protected] and we will commence investigations immediately.
Best Practices
In order to uphold high standards of quality, we require all rentees to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Rentals
Be honest. Rentees are expected to be trustful and honest in your listing descriptions. Photographs of the item should also be recently taken, and the use of stock images of the item in its original selling condition is strongly discouraged unless the item is brand new.
Condition. Ensure that the rental item is clean and in usable condition (ie electronics should be fully charged, winter wear should be cleaned and not musty)
Pricing. Set fair and competitive pricing. The Fair Market Value of your item should also accurately reflect the condition of your item, and not be more than the cost of its retail price.
- Communication
There is hardly a thing as over-communication. Reach out to the renter for clarification and confirmation, especially when it comes to arranging pick-up and returns. The more you communicate, the less room there is for misunderstandings. Respond as promptly as possible and always be polite and courteous.
- Be committed
If an item is listed as available, the request for rental should be honoured. If you have already accepted a rental reservation, we expect that the rental transaction will be honoured. We track cancellations very closely and multiple incidents of cancellations may result in account suspension.
